Extra Dimensions
Oct. 6th, 2011 09:03 pmSome believe physics is on the verge of discovering new dimensions. Do you think they will be more like dimensional candidate A, by Marc van Linden, largely Cerenkov blue but with hawks; or like dimensional candidate B, by the Prodigy, resembling rural Essex, but with ostriches, and suffused with national grid infrastructure?
(listening to loud music while I'm alone in the house during sensible hours, mainly a mixture of Flux Pavilion and Kylie Minogue and oddly the visuals are all the kind of blue that means 'if you can see this you're too close' in the nuclear industry! Lapis and silver, ftw, everywhere!).

Date: 2011-10-07 06:21 pm (UTC)(I recognised B as Essex from the distinctive pylons at 0:30 being at the Cressing substation south of Braintree. The reason I remember them is I used to drive past them as a kid and in the summer the wires seemed to hang so far down you felt you could touch them. Turns out Prodigy are from Braintree, according to Wikipedia, so they're being very naughty and lazy filming their video near their house!).
